Let me start by saying I know nearly nothing of mathematics or the branches of science that require copious amounts of mathematics, but I might know a thing or two about snake wrestling.Much like the first book in this series, Witzens seems to be channeling the absurd wit and wisdom of Douglas Adams while throwing in a heady dose of high concept hard sci-fi. I liked Bek and found his bumbling through one adventure into the next, relying on his one talent, to be quite endearing. I even liked Seka for much the same reasons, though I must confess, I'm most interested in seeing the continuing adventures of MACH-Y, the decommissioned robot who accidentally discovers the plot.
The chapters are set up as data files and bounce from one stream to another (I would have said timeline, but as was pointed out in the first book and reinforced in this one, time does not exist) but the story is easy to follow. Well done. I hope to see more if these 'verses.
